i'm replaying Suikoden II right now. my save file years ago had a bug so i wasn't able to finish it. D:
well, that game actually has a lot of glitches. XD but it was still good. :D
last night i was on the Rockaxe Castle raid part and i couldn't believe what happened at the end of it. Nanami dies. D:
Nanami isn't that much of a powerful character. She's actually the weaker version of Riou (main character and her adopted brother).
but she's incredibly quick and has the most astounding speed/agility among all the 100+ other playable characters.
so i attached the Spark rune on her. :D
*Spark Rune - all attack after the wearer/weilder
so it doesn't matter how slow your party members are. they all attack at the same time after Nanami! :D
plus she's the only character that mostly attacks twice at a time.
i was crying so much while she was talking like this: "I'm okay...... Riou........" yknow, the dotsssss. D:
with matching pale and dying(?) Nanami headshot instead of the usual smiley Nanami.
what happened before she died? Riou and Nanami were walking together when they met Jowy/Joei on the way.
Jowy/Joei was their childhood friend and Riou's super best friend. he used to be on the main party but not anymore cause Joei's the enemy nao.
so while they were talking about fighting or not fighting each other, or stopping tthe war together instead of provoking it blabla...
Garudo came with a few archers and said "I could kill you all at the same time right now! blabla..."
and Joei was like "Why you..."
so the Garudo archers fired the arrows. then Nanami says something about the secret skill that master Genkaku (their foster father) and she uses it to deflect the arrows but... she missed on the last one.... TAT
so she falls down... Riou was looking at her, shocked and surprised. just like me.
Joei gets mad. and once again, for Nanami(?) they fight together. that actually made me happy. oh how i missed Jowy and his unison attack with Riou called "Buddy Attack". i raepd Garudo with Jowy's LV.4 Runes and the Buddy Attack. it was awesome.
after killing that dmn Garudo, they talked to Nanami. Jowy asked her if she was okay.
Nanami replies that she was happy to see the 'real' Jowy again. Jowy leaves telling Riou to take care of her. awwww Jowy.
and you can add more of Nanami's dramatical speeches.
but really it was so sad. i couldn't move on. i suddenly didn't feel like playing the game anymore. D:
i feel like my whole party's gonna be crap without Nanami around. D: really, no other character could replace her.
i filled her space with the old man vampire hunter Kahn cause he's the only character that has an a-ok attack/strength, good magic stats, and has medium range. just like Nanami. he fails in Speed tho.
i don't really wanna use him at all but i have no choice. GIVE BACK NANAMIIIII. I WANT HAR BAC.
so what i did was reload the Rockaxe castle raid save file. i still have Nanami there. lol.
and i'm also trying to get all the 108 stars. (108 characters. 90% of it are playable characters.)
but there are two characters i couldn't get... cause i think they're impossible to get now. D: DEMMET i should have done that sidequest earlier. now it's not available anymore. OHNOES. and if i can't get them, then i won't be able to get the other remaining characters too! i'm missing 10 characters. 8 of them will only join if you have 100 stars. i'm over. D:
if i don't get all 108 stars before i go on with Rockaxe and kill Nanami, then i won't have the best ending... (there are 4 different endings depending on your choices. but to get the good ending, i have to gather all 108 stars)
WAH. i'll just replay it on christmas break! 8D

Why do the good characters always have to die? It's like they force you to use the sucky characters that way.
I always try to get the best endings on games. I restarted FFX-2 three times in one day to try and get the best ending possible. Even though you can watch the ending on Youtube, it feels so much better accomplishing it yourself. :D
i just checked the video on youtube. i could tell that the player was able to get all 108 stars from the way his castle looks. and he's got high levels. XD aww yeah the BG music was really sad. i get chills whenever i hear that song. specially when it's about Riou and his best friend/rival Jowy. D:
i know! they always die! D: and it's so hard to 'replace' them. *coughAERITHcough*
good ending in FFX2? like Tidus and Yuna living happily evar aftar?
ahaha truetrue. it's always better that way and it makes you feel good too.
I cried so hard when Nanami died. anyway i wish you luck.
the first time i played it, there was a bug! O_O
it was the Tinto part. where the main character was asked to stay inside the mayor's house. then after that i couldn't get out and the character ran through the black parts of the screen! D: but when i played it on my psp, i was able to prevent it from happening. i just changed the speed of the disc load.
me too! D: i was so depressed...
and i saw the best ending. :D i was so happy.
