On Saturday the 14th at 4AM UTC/GMT we will be upgrading the operating system of our network load balancers to a newer version, one that will allow us to use both CPUs! Nifty, because multiprocessing is nice.

Since we have 2 load balancers, the plan is to upgrade 1 at a time, and there really should be very little impact to our website. Hopefully you won't notice a thing and I'll get to go back to the hotel and watch some wonderful late night infomercials.

We've got a lot of exciting projects coming up for 2010 and we're hoping that we'll be able to deliver them all to you, that you will find it useful/cool/lovely and then you will use the site even more. Behind-the-scenes work like this will give us the capacity to handle the anticipated traffic, so expect a few more maintenance windows especially in the beginning of next year as we've got some neat ideas to improve performance around here! We had the recent 30-45 minute outage yesterday due to one of our logging databases filling up disk space -- not so great design coupled with my human error in handling the initial problem -- and it looks like we're going to finally have some resources to eliminate stuff like that. I can't wait!

i'm new to livejournal, didn't know how things work around here,
didn't even know how to make a picture bigger.

I'm so screwed. I did nothing with my 3 weeks break. So I'm going to rush developing my project. I also need to finish letters to my blockmates for our retreat! I want them to appreciate it so yep, I've already started, then scrap my work, started then err you know. I'm so ADD that it burns.

Some of my blockmates started to watch Supernatural (they started watching season 1) and we've been talking. It's kinda nice to have someone to talk to who doesn't have a slash goggles. Plus all of them are guys so yeah. It was nice because they pointed out the bond between Sam and Dean, how they rely on each other, how they help one another and how they need each other. They see the codependency between the brothers and they think it's cool, seeing their lifestyle. They also pointed out that JDM always looks cool even if he's old! They even like the 'sweetness' between Sam and Dean because I think they are weird like that.

One guy, who has been watching from the start started ranting that everyone should give Sam a break. He said that everyone had a part on the apocalypse, the angels, demons, heck even Dean. They are all to blame so they need to stop pointing fingers. *pats sammy* And trust me I almost hugged him. Because he does have a point. The situation they are in right now is a freakin domino effect. 

What took me by surprise was when I mentioned that Jared refused a role at GIJoe because of supernatural, one of them countered that it's because Jared is having wayyyyy to much fun with Jensen. When I looked at him he has that look that look that implies something! Everything! (trust me I know these me, I've been with them for 4 years) I was like O_o okay maybe they do have slash goggles after all. But it was fun. ^_^

Hmm, I was having so much fun I forgot to post something for Halloween! I'm a bit surprised at the amount of Halloween posts this year, but hope this will encourage others to join in on the late-Halloween-fun. I bet you guy's teeth are probably rotten with candy now.
Anyway, I started this fic awhile back in late September, and I'd thought it'd be appropriate to post this story up for Halloween up in the community. It has a great sense of mystery and makes you think about Hibari's real intentions alot. Basically, the story is about Tsuna having a boogie man visit him. At first it will start out happy and great but soon the real plot will take place. I've gotten up to the fifth chapter and I update every Thursday.
