Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

In November I ruled Iran as a kind and benevolent dictator (700 points). Last Thursday I ate my brussel sprouts (1 points). Last Monday I had a shoot-out with rival gang lords on the 5 near LA (-76 points). In March I helped [info]jhisk across the street (6 points). Last Saturday I put gum in [info]sam_dean_fetish 's hair (-12 points).

Overall, I've been nice (619 points). For Christmas I deserve a Lego set!

Sincerely,
jhisksan

MogileFS Maintenance

  • Dec. 2nd, 2009 at 12:18 PM
**EDIT Thu Dec 3 23:24:15 UTC 2009 **

Hey Everyone, we are about to run the last alter job that we need to on our database servers. This will effect userpics / scrapbook / vgift images for the next few hours. Have no fear, your images aren't lost, there is just a really intensive process running on the servers which store the information for mogilefs. Thank you for your understanding and all the LJ love...

Hey LJers,

I just wanted to let you all know that we are going to be performing some mogilefs maintenance over the next few days. We will be upgrading our current version to latest stable as well as changing some db config information to better handle the amount of files we are currently hosting. This shouldn't cause a big impact on site stability, but you may see some minor delays with userpic / scrapbook images appearing or other requests associated with our mogilefs. We would love to not have that happen, but unfortunately with some of the steps we need to take we have to cause a delay with images. I figured this was a better solution than taking down all of LiveJournal because well lets face it, we all need our daily LJ fix ;)

Thanks,
The song we've all been waiting for. Earlier today, on December 1, 2009, the song 夢のマニュアル by CHERRY BLOSSOM released the full version to Katekyo Hitman Reborn's ending song #13---and not only just that the official album cover was also released. AND I AM NOT DISAPPOINTED ONE BIT.

I think I just died happily. Just LOOK at the way Hibari is looking at happy-Tsuna! LOOK AT IT! Take one good stare and just LOOK at it. 8D And you know? I just realized something... You see that wisp of cloud near Tsuna's head? I don't think that's a cloud. In fact, I think that's a piece of Gokudera's hair. OH DAMMIT. D:< Why the hell do you have to butt in NOW, Gokudera?!
They also released their PV which you can find here; Cut to youtube :D
Now, let's take a trip down memory lane... )

Step One

- Make a post (public, friends locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two

- Surf around your friendslist (or friends friends, or just random journals, or [info]wish_list
to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

My wish List

I never realized a lot of people even liked me. We had this retreat last week, a retreat you see is a requirement for a graduating college students in my DLSL. I can honestly say that my almost four years with my block mates are amazing, most of my blockmates are boys, sure they seem loud and obnoxious most of the time but yeah, they are less judgmental and more accepting.

Though most of us are awesome, we still have silly misunderstandings, most of them escalates and damages friendships. We went to the retreat different persons with different cliques.

Throughout the retreat, since the class are barely talking to each other, we were asked to hug everyone. It was awkward for some, but we managed. That was when the magic began. The next day when were asked to do the mirroring activity, where you will say what you like/love about a person and you get to speak everyone. That was when we started to forgive without even apologizing, a simple hug and an ounce of understanding and forgiveness was all it took. Anyone would have laugh to see 19 grown men and 6 grown women crying their hearts out.

Boy was I surprised, who knew forgiving and being forgiven was this easy.

Now we're passed the childishness just understanding and closeness. It's silly, cheesy and probably unbelievable. But sometimes it's a wonder why humans choose a life of unforgiving misery. It was amazing.

Too bad it's our last semester together, but regardless, we'll all still be friends anyway.

Hahaha, aside the retreat, I'm way behind schedule. So if I die in LJ, I'm just finishing my thesis and actually getting some job done. Plus writing the bunnies that had been bugging me since forever.

On other news. My boys are watching supernatural. Yes I call them my boys! Almost half of them marathoned from season 1 - 4 and I kinda find it peculiar because, male fans! They actually exist. I had an observation though, most of them liked Sam better and are so bored with Castiel, but thinks that Dean is funny.

You wouldn't believe the giggles I hold back when I hear them quoting lines from the show.

This is us
